I am 20 years old and I’ve grown up in a loving Greek home in Pretoria. Raised by both of my Greek parents, who have instilled values and morals in my life from an early age, and who have imprinted true Greek ‘paradóseis’ in my heart which I carry with me each day.
I am currently studying Accounting Sciences at the University of Pretoria, as I believe that accounting lies at the heart of every business and that as a business woman of the future, I will be able to be a leader and empower other women to be leaders too.
My Greek roots come from the third largest island in Greece- LESVOS. My fondest memory of being on this island is in 2004 – when Greece won the Euro cup in Portugal and I was able to celebrate the joy of the whole island coming together as one. This made me truly proud to be a Hellene.
I am currently learning to be a make-up artist in my spare time. I believe that all woman are pretty without make up but can be pretty powerful with the right make up, as you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
I entered Miss Hellene because I want to make a difference in a fellow Hellene’s life by contributing towards their education. Should I be crowned Miss Hellene, I will carry the title with pride, confidence and elegance. It would be a great honour, as I have always wanted to be a role model for the Greek youth of South Africa. The Miss Hellene title will give me the platform to continue networking with the organisers, sponsors and supporters of the Miss Hellene brand and the NAHYSOSA Bursary fund.
